Meals On Wheels

In Pinellas County the Meals on Wheels program is administered through the Neighborly Care Network  LCC has committed to a one day a week meal delivery schedule.

Handy Helpers

Handy Helpers

LCC regularly teams with the City of Saint Petersburg’s Neighborhood Team (N-Team) to assist elderly or disabled homeowners. Events are scheduled on a Saturday morning and dates are published on the website, in email blasts, and announced during service.

God's Work Our Hands

Each September LCC has an opportunity to participate iwith our ELCA community. The second Sunday in September is “God’s Work Our Hands” Sunday. It is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the ELCA and dedicate one day to serve communities in ways that share the love of God with all people.

Ready for Life - Angel Tree

Ready for Life - Angel Tree

Each year many foster youth turn 18 years old and “age out” of the foster care system in Pinellas County, regardless of ability or resources. Ready For Life   is an organization that supports the material and emotional needs of these young adults. During the Christmas season LCC supports Ready for Life through our Angel Tree gifts.

Pack-A-Sack-4-Kids PAS4K

Pack-A-Sack-4-Kids PAS4K

PAS4K is a program that provides for a sack of snacks to be sent home each Friday with chronically hungry, elementary age children in Pinellas County. LCC supports this program through the St. Petersburg Free Clinic. Each $4 donation provides a sack for one child.

Hope Lutheran Food Bank

Hope Lutheran Food Bank

Weekly LCC collects low-sugar and high-protein pantry items for the food bank at Hope Lutheran in the Narthex. With donations of food staples like peanut butter, powdered milk, rice, canned meat, and cereal Hope Lutheran is able to provide assistance to families in need. LCC is one of the main providers of pantry items to the Hope Lutheran Food Bank.

Lutheran Services of Florida (LSF) Foster Youth Assistance

Lutheran Services of Florida (LSF) Foster Youth Assistance

Prior to the start of the school year, LCC collects school supplies for foster youth. Prior to Easter LCC collects donations to share the message of Christ’s birth with bibles and other Easter basket goodies. Donations are collected in the Narthex and are distributed to foster youth through our partner, LSF. Donation details are published on the website, in email blasts and announced during service.
