The disciple of Lent often includes giving of ourselves in various ways to help us focus on putting God first in our lives. Each year during Lent our church gets involved helping with the ELCA’s Good Gifts Campaign. Led by our Children’s Education Team, this year we have decided to focus on nutrition for at-risk children globally.
A nutritious diet is important to a child’s health. Foods high in protein and vitamins keep tummies full and immune systems strong. Your support reminds children who have lost one or both parents that someone cares. Each gift of twenty-five dollars will provide nutritious food for one child for one month. Our goal is to raise at least $1,500 during the next few weeks.
You may give by a check made out to LCC with “Good Gifts” in the memo line, then drop it in the offering plate or mail it to the church. There is also a jar for checks or money in the Narthex for donations. To give online go to our website on the giving portal and select from the fund dropdown, “ELCA Good Gift/Orphan Food.” A button link for online giving is also included below.
