Church Update

Because the power is still out and the city is under a boil water restriction, we reluctantly must cancel services this Sunday. But rest assured, the power of Christ will never go out, and his living waters will revive and restore us. Last Sunday, we sort of rebranded ourselves as “LCC, Living Connected in Christ”, and now more than ever we believe that is true. We have indeed suffered losses, but in Christ we are strong. Stronger than floods, stronger than wind, stronger than a building. The pain we’ve all suffered is real, but Christ’s ability to see us through it is also real, and together we will get through this. So as we recover, let’s continue to look out for each other the way we have been doing. Let’s be patient with each other and with ourselves. Stress levels are naturally high, but that’s what grace is for. So we will now focus on joining hands as we pick up the pieces and move forward.

The church had very minor damage from Milton, and the remediation from Helene will continue next week.

As always, please let us know if you have immediate needs. We hope to be able to resume worship services and regular activities soon, so please watch for updates.
