CHEERS FOR VOLUNTEERS!

Would you like to meet new people?
Would you like to do more fun activities with your family?
Do you want to feel better about yourself, your church, and the world around you?

I can tell you how to do that with one word: VOLUNTEER!

There are many volunteering opportunities at LCC.
• Our teams could use help with events, from planning to set up, working the event and clean up.
• There is always room for more members on all of our ministry teams. The Pastors would love to plug you in where your interests are.

Volunteering to help with events is a great way to teach your kids the value of giving of yourself.
• For example, when we deliver gift bags for Christmas and Easter to the shut-ins, often whole families participate. The kids have a blast doing it, and when they see you modeling your faith in action, they learn that this is what Jesus asks of us.

Still not sure you have the energy to help out?
• Volunteering can be a great way to boost your self-esteem and sense of fulfillment. It can help you ward off depression by allowing you to focus on the good things you are doing to help others. Positive actions lead to positive feelings!

Your time commitment can be as large or small as you like. And you won’t be alone – we have several seasoned volunteers who would be glad to “show you the ropes.” For more information on opportunities to serve, please contact the Pastors.
